Expertise

Nina Stærnes works extensively with dispute resolution and litigation across Selmer's business areas and regularly represents clients in disputes before Norwegian courts. She is a key member of Selmer's ESG and compliance team, where she combines ongoing strategic advice with practical litigation experience. Nina assists in cases related to financial crime, corporate penalties and sanctions, and advises clients in all phases – from preventive compliance work to corporate investigations, contact with authorities and disputes. In addition, she works with labour law and has considerable experience with the Transparency Act, where she regularly assists Norwegian and international companies in navigating legal requirements and expectations related to human rights and workers' rights. Nina specialised in corporate law and criminal law at the University of Oslo, with her master thesis addressing criminal liability for the parent company in company groups.
