Expertise

Thomas G. Michelet has more than 30 years' experience with domestic and cross-border corporate M&A. He is advised on numerous joint ventures, investments and corporate transactions in the energy (oil/gas, offshore and renewable) and infrastructure sectors. His has also acted as lead counsel on transactions within the seafood, media and telecommunication industries. Thomas has extensive litigation experience, including acting for one of the Gassled owners in the tariff-dispute against the Norwegian state. Thomas acts for national and international corporations and funds. His extensive international experience, includes transactions in Europe, former CIS countries and Africa. He is highly ranked by Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR1000 within Corporate M&A and Energy. He was co-author of the Commentary to the Norwegian Petroleum Act (1989) and was President of the East CCI of Norway (2003-2014). Thomas has also been board member of Fontenehus Norge and actively works with the organisation which supports people with mental illness with the aim to give them equal opportunities in society.
