Are Herrem is a specialist in mergers and acquisitions for Private Equity funds. Are advises both Norwegian, Nordic and large global funds on mergers, acquisitions and investments. He has acted as lead partner in some of the largest and most complex Private Equity transactions in the Norwegian market and has closed more than 100 transactions on Mergermarket. Are is highly recognised for his creativity and ability to find solutions. In addition to his extensive transaction experience, Are also has significant experience in advising companies within trade and industry, oil and gas, the food industry and the media on a wide range of business law issues. Are is ranked as one of the leading transaction lawyers in Norway by the international rating agency Chambers and as "Leading Lawyer" by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR). The Legal 500 promotes Are as one of the leading lawyers in the category "Commercial, corporate and M&A". Are is an active member of and contributor to the Norwegian Private Equity community through his involvement in the Norwegian Venture Capital Association (NVCA). Being active on a number of Norwegian boards, Are has also developed a deep commercial and strategic understanding, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. Are was admitted to appear before the Supreme Court in 1997.
