Sofie assists clients in the energy and offshore sectors with regulatory and contractual matters. She has extensive experience in energy, climate and environmental law, and combines a regulatory background from her work in government ministries with practical contract experience gained from practising as a solicitor. Sofie has previously worked at the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Climate and Environment, where she was involved in the development of national climate and energy regulations. At the Ministry of Energy, Sofie worked in particular on carbon capture and storage (CCS), including the establishment of the Longship-project – Norway's major initiative for full-scale carbon capture and storage. Sofie has also worked on the green transition of the maritime sector, where, amongst other things, she represented Norway in international negotiations on the climate framework regulating greenhouse gas emissions from shipping within the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).
